This must be the superior introductory text for these two topics. The text starts with an introduction to organic chemistry and uses this introduction to transition to biochemistry. Written for allied health provider's curriculum seemed more understandable than other text books that claim an entry into organic chemistry. Could use some more editing in the biochemistry sections. This action would bring the text up to the outstanding rating its organic chemistry sections have already earned.

Had a very nice but new professor for this class. If not for the easy to understand and clear directions in this book I would never have gotten an A!

as far as text books go, this was pretty good. Language was definitely challenging, but the illustrations in the book help alot.
